- Shredded cheddar cheese – The recipe calls for cheddar cheese, but you could also use Monterey jack, Mexican cheese blend, or even pepper jack cheese if you want to add some spice.
- Chives – This garnish is totally optional, but adds a nice flavor. You could also use sliced green onion.

- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 15 oz. can Hormel chili
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- tortilla chips
- Spread cream cheese onto a plate or pie dish.
- Top with chili and shredded cheese.
- Microwave for 2-4 minutes, until cheese is melted. (My microwave was 3 minutes)
- Serve with tortilla chips.
